Visitors to the Palm Beaches have
a wide range of choices when staying in our area. With more than 15,000
hotel and motel rooms throughout the county, visitors can choose accommodations
ranging from the modest to magnificent. The areas have several chain hotels
like Marriott Hotel (luxury hotels, courtyards and residence inns), the
suite hotels like Embassy Suites, DoubleTree Guest Suite Hotels, and Radisson
Suite Hotel, Holiday Inn, Sheraton, Hampton Inn and Hilton.
A variety of hotels cater to family vacations, the business traveler and
conferences, and romantic getaways. There are backfiring hotels, hotels
clustered around the I-95 interchanges of the major cities, downtown areas,
Palm Beach International Airport and also in some of the major golf course
communities. Most of the hotels provide shuttle services, tour arrangements,
baby-sitting services and recreational facilities including golf, tennis,

Ritz Carlton in Manalapan, and the
Breakers in West Palm Beach.
Palm Beach County hotel rates reflect two seasons:
- The season - (the winter season) runs from late October to
mid-April. Thousands of visitors from international countries and northern
states come to Florida for vacation, business travel or to attend business
conferences and conventions.
- Off-peak rates - for accommodations are available from mid-April
through October - during which time hotels generally provide the lowest
rates and offer special packages.
Boca Raton
Some of the hotels in the Boca Raton area are the Boca Raton Resort & Club, along with the Beach Club Hotel situated directly on the ocean, and the Radisson Bridge Hotel on the intracoastal. Several hotels in the central area around I-95 are the Boca Raton Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott, the Boca Raton Sheraton Hotel and Holiday Inn Highland Beach, the Radisson Suite Hotel and Embassy Suites Hotel.

The Kravis Center for Performing Arts, Coral Sky Amphitheater, South Florida
Fair Grounds and West Palm Beach Auditorium are located in West Palm Beach.
Mizner Park in Boca Raton is a retail / cultural center that has an amphitheater
and hosts various events throughout the year.

festivals with music, artwork, activities and fabulous local specialities.
Broward
County
In Broward County some of the more popular attractions include the Jungle
Queen Riverboat Cruises and downtown Ft. Lauderdale's Riverwalk which
has beautifully landscaped walkways and also provides waterway tours on
the Carrie B. Several of the museums are Blockbuster IMAX Theater & Museum
of Discovery and Science, Bonnet House at The Barlett Estate and Stranahan
House, and the International Swimming Hall of Fame. Several authentic Seminole
Indian villages and museums are located at the Hollywood
Seminole Indian Reservation.
For sports enthusiasts there's Dania
Jai-Alai and the Die Rodeo Arena, and the various greyhound and horse
racing tracks. For nature lovers there is Butterfly World and Flamingo Gardens,
and the unique South
Florida Everglades where you can experience airboat tours and swamnp
buggy safaris as well as camping, fishing and boating at several locations
- Everglades Holiday Park, Sawgrass Recreation Park and Billie Swamp Safari.
Weekend
Activities
Boca Raton's location is ideal for weekend trips to
South Florida and the Keys, the west coast, central
or north Florida. Some of the popular attractions include
Walt Disney World and Epcot Center in Orlando, of course,
Busch Gardens and Ringling Museum on the west coast,
the casual, tropical islands of the Florida Keys to
the south, and Marineland and the many historical districts
of St. Augustine on Florida's north coast. |
